THE BROWN PUB METHVEN, MT HUTT VILLAGE

Methven is located just over an hour's drive from Christchurch International Airport. Take SW1 south from Christchurch to Rakaia and turn right at the big salmon. Stay on the main road and about 25 minutes later you will drive straight into Methven. Alternatively, take the Inland Scenic Route SW72 via Horarata and Rakaia Gorge and take the first turn left to Methven at Mt Hutt Station (signposted the alt route). Again you will drive straight into the Main Street and The Brown Pub is on your right.
